Genuine new BorgWarner S3BL090 (S3B) turbocharger, part number 174836, for the 1994–2002 Mack E7-350 11.9L diesel. Key Features:
Specifications:
Compatibility / Fitment:
Fits 1994–2002 Mack trucks with the E7-350 11.9L engine using turbocharger 631GC5133AM6, 631GC5133M5, or one of the listed Mack or BorgWarner numbers. Match the Mack or BorgWarner number on your existing turbo's tag before ordering.
Hard fitment gate — match the turbo number: Mack used several different BorgWarner turbos on the E7 (S3B and S400 models, by rating and year), and they look alike. This turbo replaces 631GC5133 / 631GC5140M2 family numbers and BorgWarner 167571 / 199253. Other E7 turbos are different units. Check the housing angles if your turbo's tag is missing.
Installation note: Find and correct the cause of the original turbo failure before installing. Clean or replace the oil supply and drain lines, use new gaskets, pre-fill the bearing housing with clean oil before first start, and follow Mack's torque specifications.
Other conditions available: A BorgWarner remanufactured version (474836) is also available on core exchange.
Common interchanges: 174836, 474836, 167571, 199253, 199886, 199887, 199889, 199890, 199897, 199898, 631GC5133M5, 631GC5133AM5, 631GC5133AM6, 631GC5133AM8, 631GC5133AM9, 631GC5133AM20, 631GC5133AM21, 631GC5140M2, 631GC5140M2X, S3BL090
Conclusion:
A genuine new BorgWarner 174836 S3BL090 turbocharger for the 1994–2002 Mack E7-350 11.9L, replacing Mack 631GC5133AM6 and BorgWarner 167571, built with CHRA 171931. Match your turbo number before ordering, since the E7 used several similar turbos.
