Three hard fitment gates apply:
12 liter, not 15 liter. This pump fits the 11.9L ISX12 and X12. The 15L ISX15 and X15 use a different water pump. Confirm your engine displacement from the dataplate.
With EGR. This pump is for EGR-equipped engines. Confirm your engine has exhaust gas recirculation before ordering.
Complete pump versus impeller cartridge. This is the complete pump with rear housing. Cummins also sells the impeller assembly alone for installation into an existing housing. If your rear housing is serviceable and you only need the cartridge, this is more than you need; if the housing is cracked, corroded or worn, this is the correct part.
Read the part number off the pump you are removing and confirm it appears in the reference list above.
Installation: replace the mounting gasket or O-ring and inspect the coolant for debris from the failed pump. A disintegrated impeller leaves fragments in the system.
