Two hard fitment gates apply:

Match the engine rating. BorgWarner built this S410G for 3406E engines rated 475 to 550 hp. 425-hp engines use a different S410G, and 575-600-hp engines use a separate performance S410G. We stock both. Check the CAT or BorgWarner number on your old turbo’s nameplate before ordering.

Single turbo, not ACERT. This turbo is for the single-turbo 3406E and early C15. The later C15 ACERT uses a series (twin) turbo arrangement with different turbochargers.

Installation: Pre-fill the bearing housing with clean engine oil and prime the oil supply line before first start. Fit new oil supply and drain gaskets. Clear any oil or debris from the intake and charge-air system left by the old turbo. Do not use liquid sealant on oil or exhaust connections. Confirm the wastegate actuator linkage moves freely, and follow Caterpillar’s torque specifications.
